
As we ascend the stairs to the upper level, we notice a huge display devoted to the other prominant developments of the phonograph's inventor, Mr. Thomas Alva Edison. In the upper left, we can see a display of Edison light bulbs that spell out the name "EDISON".

Edison's original lab was in Menlo Park, NJ. Here we can see an original floorboard from the Menlo Park laboratory. Note the original nail seen in this board is made of copper, since the use of iron nails would have caused magnetic fields that would have disturbed certain electrical experiments.

Shown here is an original stock certificate to the National Phonograph Company (a thousand dollars was alot of money back then!).
