Edison Tone Test Demonstration Program

During the struggle to bring the Diamond Disc wide public acceptance, The Edison Phonograph Company would stage "Tone Tests", in which a performer would give a concert during which, on a darkened stage, the audience was asked to listen to see if they could tell the difference between the Edison Diamond Disc and the live performer.
